As the creator and executive producer of the 5 time Emmy nominated hit television series American Ninja Warrior, Kent’s career spans 3 decades and He has produced over 250 shows for 45 different networks. Hit shows like Hell’s Kitchen, The Swan, Skating with Celebrities, Kitchen Nightmares and The World Music Awards.
10 years after starting his own production company in 2001, he and his partner sold it for 100 million dollars. He then spent the next 10 years, studying and learning mindfulness, meditation, Qi Gong and biohacking his body for health and longevity, all while being a dedicated husband and dad to his three amazing kids.
After launching LiveUrPurpose.com in 2020 to share his story and help others, In December 2021, he debuted his Meditation and mindfulness course, “Taming your Monkey Mind”, to help people who struggle with stress, anxiety and sleep. He is also a Mindvally.com Master Certified Trainer, giving training to become extraordinary. He has appeared on many podcasts as a guest on the benefits of Gratitude and meditation practices that are life-changing.
“Over the last 30 years, I have been a successful TV Director, Executive Producer, and President of a very successful Production company, plus a husband and proud Father to 3 totally awesome kids. Busy did not begin to describe my life. As successful as I was in my career, my family life, and overall health suffered. Although I exercised, I drank too much, ate unhealthily, and suffered from chronic lower back pain, constant sciatic pain, and severe food allergies. On top of that, Eleven years ago, I suffered a torn and detached retina in my left eye that left me, which required 7 surgeries, and lay face down for weeks at a time. As I lay face-down on my make-shift massage table, I figured if ever there was a time to change, NOW was it. I needed something to keep me interested and focused. I found it in Oprah & Deepak Chopra’s 21-day meditation. It was the perfect blend of an inspired message from Oprah followed by Deepak’s words of wisdom and a 15-min meditation. This began my journey to discovery, health, joy, peace and balance! After just one month, I noticed a difference. I was calmer, less stressed and my back pain was better. Over the last 10 years, I’ve studied many different types of meditations by many famous authors and teachers. I’ve read dozens of books, and done multiple courses, attended multiple webinars and events on mindfulness and meditation. Five years ago, I became a Master Certified Trainer with Mindvalley.com, teaching people how to meditate, overcome obstacles, and live extraordinary lives. Last year, during Covid lockdown, I hosted a podcast called Ninja Talks to help people deal with all types of issues including, fear, anxiety, stress, loneliness, diet & nutrition, and biohacks for health. Today, I am proud to say that I am calmer and healthier than I’ve ever been. Gone is the back and sciatic pain, gone is the stress and gone are the allergies. I am happier and I am able to handle stress so much better. Simply put, I am a better person as a result of my meditation and mindfulness practice, and I am committed to helping others learn how to overcome obstacles and live the life of their dreams.
